Dr. Alan Lobaugh, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, and a Registered Play Therapy Supervisor. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the CMHC Program at Eastern Oregon University.
Dr. Lobaugh trains small group facilitators in Fort Worth, TX, for “The Warm Place” which provides counseling for children who’ve experienced the death of a loved one. He serves as a founding board member for “The Nurse Family Partnership for Tarrant County,” which is a program to match nurses with first time pregnant women to reduce the infant mortality rate in the county.
Dr. Lobaugh is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and recently retired after serving 41 years in local churches. He earned his Ph.D from the University of North Texas. For his dissertation, he trained incarcerated fathers in Filial Therapy. The training made a positive difference in their perceptions as a parent and their connections to their children. It also made significant improvements in the self-concept of the children.
